Tarmac surface subsiding into drainage ditch Reported anonymously at 16:27, Tue 26 October 2021 The photos show the collapsing surface and expansion cracking of the Tarmac surface, seemingly from subsidence downward into the drainage ditch running alongside the footpath. First signs of ground movement were in 2020, deteriorating further this year, becoming a pedestrian slip risk hazard into the deep ditch when wet. This is the Tarmac surfaced portion of the public footpath, on the Lincolnshire County Council Definitive Map, identifier Wran-987-1, behind 2 properties on Church Close, numbers 31 and 32. I am aware public footpath issues are the remit of Countryside Services dept, but the hard Tarmac surface may require Highways Dept attention. This my understanding from discussions in September with Jonathan Stockdale (Senior Countryside Officer) of the Countryside Services dept at Lincolnshire County Council.
