Excess gravel causing damage

Reported anonymously at 14:36, Thu 24 March 2022

Some weeks ago a large amount of gravel was laid on the road on the corner of Monsal Dale and Matlock drive. This gravel was never compacted or cleared and there is still an excess amount on the road. Every day we hear and witness numerous cars skid on this gravel, throwing stones into the air. We live on the corner right next to it. My husband and I have been isolating for the last 7 days due to having COVID and today, as he is feeling better, he has decided to wash his car on the driveway. He was very annoyed to find that he now has 2 large cracks in his windscreen which will now need replacing, at a cost of £100 through our insurance company, among other chips in the paintwork. This can only be from all the stones being thrown into our drive as cars skid through the gravel. The drive way is now covered in these stones. Can someone please attend the above mentioned area and clear these stones to prevent further damage, and to assess the damage. I have photos of the area, the driveway, and the damage it has caused to our car.
