Sensors on Silver Street and Station Road are too sensitive

Reported anonymously at 09:27, Wed 15 June 2022

If a car is not in exactly the right place over the sensor then the traffic lights do not change to green for that direction. As there is a bus stop and lollipop lady on Station Road which affect the flow of traffic in from the junction then it is much more likely that a car from Silver street will not be in the very narrow space that the sensor requires. This is an issue especially at school run times as the sensor then does not pick up the huge tail backs that are caused. The traffic lights should not be sensor driven during school drop off and pick up times and the sensor adjusted to allow for more detection.
