The Cul de sac of Magpie Close
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 00:19, Friday 28 August 2026
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2903221.
First heavy rainfall in a while and the drains were overwhelmed within a few minutes. This caused the cul de sac to flood and spill over on to properties. Our property side passage had a good 2-3 inches of water running down into the back garden, luckily this time not quite high enough to reach our rear door. Drains (for the whole area) need to be checked for any obstructions or breaks and cleared to prevent this from happening!

Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.
