Entrance to Old Wood SOUTH

Reported via mobile in the Sign (unlit) category by Stuart Mayo at 16:02, Saturday 5 September 2026

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2904127.

Hello FixMyStreet,

This decision does not make any sense, as there is a DANGER PRESENT.

Coming from a 30mph limit from Woodbank, INTO the wood, then changes it back to National Speed Limit (60mph).

This is INTO the Public Bridle Way Route, which is also a Pedestrian Zone, used by many people who travel around the country, to walk in this National Forestry Area.

If anything, it should stay at 30mph, but to increase Safety for the Walkers, Children & Horses, this SHOULD be reduced down to 20mph, just like it is at the entrance to Old Wood NORTH, instead of the Old Wood SOUTH.

Where is the changeover point, as this is NOT Signposted.

This still requires a resolution.

Please travel to site to understand this discrepancy.

Best Regards Stuart Mayo
