Very bad condition of road surface at the junction of Baildon Crescent and Malton Road near the Forum and continuing part way down towards the junction with Hykeham Road . This has been a long term problem . Several years ago resurfacing commenced and was completed part way down this road . The junction near the Forum has recently erupted with distortion of the road's painted signage an indication of this . It would seem that someone has come along and coated what may be surface imperfections with tarmac . Totally inadequate response . This is a major thoroughfare ( rat run ) between Newark Road and Hykeham Road . It is not the minor access road that it was constructed to be . Vehicles often cut the corner as they progress from Foss Drive or Malton Road which is a hazard in itself . Then you have the nuisance of parked cars along this busy thoroughfare . Added hazard of cars parked on the path nd on the bends . More recent hazard is the presence of parking on the grass verges directly alongside the junction of Baildon Crescent and Hykeham Road . Both sides at times . Accident waiting to happen , especially since street lights switched off in this area for several hours overnight .

Bad road surface , bad parking including on bends and at road junctions . We need a parking warden in North Hykeham to tackle the issues . Baildon Crescent is a particularly bad area especially as it's so busy . Road surface construction is probably inadequate for it's modern day usage . See preceding summary .
