Reported in the Roads/highways category by John Wormall at 16:07, Wed 8 November 2017

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1140961.

There are the following things wrong! >the edges of both carriageways on the the roads mentioned are in bad repair and have eroded up to 3 feet into the road >There are some deep potholes which mean that cars are forced away from hazard and narrow the roads considerably >There is too much traffic along the road and many are speeding This has been an issue for over a year

  • Other photos of Linchfield Road problems! There are so many it really needs attention!

  • Nothing has changed since I reported this issue! If anything it has got worse as more large farm vehicles are eroding the road edges as are the lorry's carrying containers along the roads mentioned! There is even more traffic since the opening of the new Woody Heights park at the end of Linchfield Road.

  • No change it has got worse and in many other areas in Deeping St James

  • Surprisingly nothing has been done and this has been made worse by the extreme weather we are experiencing. I understand that Lincolnshire CC have a budget to start doing this work! I am not holding my breath!

  • The problem is much worse due to increased traffic and the weather which have made the potholes deeper and wider. Not only is. This dangerous for cyclists like me but also a major problem for cars who now drive nearer to the centre of the road to avoid the holes!! I assume the council is waiting until someone gets injured or killed before it is worth fixing!

  • The road has got even worse due to bad weather and the erosion of the edges of the road. The road is practically a one lane road as the edges of the road are now holes. Most cars and cyclists simply drive in the middle of the road when possible and stop to let ongoing drivers to pass safely! I suppose nothing will happen until an accident happens and it will sadly!!!

  • No repairs have been made to this stretch of road in the last 2 years. When is it going to be fixed??
