Road Surface Deteriorating

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:41, Fri 8 December 2017

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1158552.

Dalby Road was resurfaced in July 2017 using tar and loose chippings. The chippings have not bonded and despite two visits from a street cleaner the number of loose chippings on the road and pavements is increasing daily. At least three vehicle windscreens have been broken by chippings. Chippings are constantly being brought indoors. Also, after any light shower water is being trapped in what used to be the gutters (see photo). This is an area that flooded in 2007 and the road levels need attention as well as urgent maintenance to the road surface.

  • A road sweeper made some passes on the road on 27th December which resolved the situation for about 6 hours. The road surface is now as bad as before. The problem with flooding has not been addressed.
