Stones/gravel left on road surface all round Partney after resurfacing work.

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 23:03, Wed 20 December 2017

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1165664.

After resurfacing work in August there is still a lot of stones/gravel on the road surface months later. The stones were left there by the resurfacing work. I lost a windscreen to one of these stones in September and have taken several hits since then. I am not the only one to have done so. These stones need to be swept clear of the road and/or collected up before more damage is caused. This issue affects the minor roads running around/into/out of Partney.

  • I believe other people also reported this issue and, to be fair, there has been an attempt to deal with this. HOWEVER, the cleaning/sweeping lorry that has been sent out has only cleaned up some of the gravel. For the most part it has just spread the rest all over the road! Better than it was but still quite a lot to clear up. Might have been better to do a proper resurface job in the first place instead of doing it on the cheap. The proper resurface job in Madison Lane is fine!
