Not sure of the size of the pothole bit sufficient to cause a blow out in my wife's car

This pothole has caused my wife to have a blow out in her car on her way home from work today for her lunch break. I have had to take the wheel of and take it to have a new tyre fitted. I would like to claim back for the cost of the tyre please
