Very Large Pothole on edge of road

A very large pothole on the side of the road at least 5" deep and two metres long, would definitely cause damage to tyres and wheels and also a hazard for people on Bicycles. I'm not sure how long it has been there but looking at it I'm guessing it's been getting progressively worse for quite a while.
