A gully outside 16 Fydell street Boston pe21 8le

Sent to Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1361914.

Called out to this property when raining and as gully blocked water builds up and car tyres splash the owners front door with surface water which causes water damage to her floors and floor coverings near the front door. the gully is full of silt not sure if it can be opened to be cleaned as seasonal issue I note from the owners you have made attempts to alleviate the problem by installing in to the pavement drainage channels which will assist as long as they are kept free of silt etc when I inspected the property earlier in the year the blocked gully was full of rainwater and ponding along the road I witnessed water being thrown onto the front door and wall area by traffic this may have contributed to the dampness in the front elevation wall of the property, can the gully be jetted if not can it be relocated a little further down the road please? as think this measure will alleviate the problem.

  • Clearly even I failed to support the client she however is going to take her own civil action against the county council and in this case I wholeheartedly agree with her course of action.

  • I cannot quite believe I have had no call or confirmation or even an email as to the final decision on this situation the owner has already advised me she will enter into litigation in an effort to push things forward.
