Numerous potholes extending across 50% of the carriageway.
Reported in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 10:47, Mon 5 November 2018
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 340830.
There has been a series of dangerous potholes at this location for at least 3 years. At present they have multiplied in to what can only be described as a hazardous irregular surface. Many are in excess of 200 mm deep and 70 cm in diameter. The situation is especially dangerous and cars and cyclists swerve onto the opposite side of the road to avoid them, into the path of oncoming traffic. Visibility is limited because of the bend at Brewer's Grave and the fact that at this time of year the sun is very low. The potholes are at the summit of a hill and after emerging from a tunnel of trees directly into horizontal sunlight, affecting visual acuity. It is only a matter of time before serious injuries or even fatalities occur as well as damage to vehicles. This road is extremely busy.
