Excesive noise from manhour cover & /surface water drains
Reported in the Manhole/drain cover on road/cycleway category by Paul Lennon at 20:12, Fri 9 November 2018
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 341207.
Previous ref. 340018, 4110793, 337535 & 4110180 all reports noise issue with manhole covers or surface water drains that relate to resurfacing work carried out on these roads during may-Jul 2018. I see that this morning circa 09.15 09 Nov 18, that you have marked all these reports as closed requiring 'no further action'. Either this is a mistake on the reporting system or you ignoring the issue as each respective area still has problems. If you feel that these are not an area of concern, then why don't you come and live next to them as I am very sure it will annoy you to the extent of despair. I do not write this as a point of over exaggeration of the issue, but you are clearly not addressing the problem . Please do not ignore these problems with what appears to be unsatisfactory road repairs that have contributed to excessive noise that will if left unaddressed, I will take action to raise a noise abatement complain against you. Please act on this complaint and do not bury it unresolved by changing its status to 'no further action'.
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our response times for fault reports which is available at https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ highways-faults
We will contact you again when an update is available.

I see that on either the evening of 10 Nov 18 or morning of 11 Nov 18, that you have set up notification signs that advise of temporary traffic lights. I assume that this is for work to be carried on the 14-16 Nov 18 (19:00 - 01:00) to resolve the issue reported. To save me the time of having to submit a concern over poor roads and the failure by yourselves to resolve, it would have been a good decision to have updated the previous reference numbers to "work being carried out - no further action" instead of just notifying me that the reference number was now closed along with the comment of "No further action", as this looks like you have just simply cancelled the reports without any action. Please update the respective reference numbers to show other viewers that work is to be carried out and not just a "No further action" comment as this gives the impression that nothing is being done.
