Several large 3ft Pot holes in Chalk Lane, Withern

The pot Hole problem in Chalk Lane is over 12months old, residents have endlessly complained about the need for repairs and resurfacing, over the period many council delaying tactics have been evident, simply the condition of Chalk Lane is unacceptable, dangerous to pedestrians, is causing damage to private vehicles and is well overdue for resurfacing. At the very least give residents a realistic timetable for work to commence.

  • The repair failed to address the major damage to the road surface, only 35 of a total of 137 have been repaired, the major damaged areas have not been touched. A management failure, why were repairs limited to 35 pot holes when the length of the lane has more than 130, simpler holes have been repaired while major damaged areas have been left as the dangerous problem they were previously, this job has not been finished.
