Resurfaced road now breaking down and loose chippings now an issue
Reported in the Loose chippings category by Jim Leach at 16:31, Thu 13 December 2018
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 343314.
The road from the top of Temple Road to the end of Aveland Way was resurfaced in September/October. The road surface is now breaking up quite badly and in places there are no chippings left on the road. The chippings are gathering in piles which is making it very dangerous for cyclists. Also the PC has had a number of complaints now from residents who have sustained damage to vehicles, i.e. numerous stone chips. We have advised these residents to contact LCC re this as it is not the PC's responsibility to maintain the roads or pay compensation for damaged vehicles.
