Returning home to Gosberton from Bourne on 27th May at about 1330 I found North Gate closed. SatNav advised using Beach Bank. Driving slowly because the road surface was clearly poor I saw a long pothole, tried to avoid ir by moving to the right of the carriageway, but found my nearside wheels trapped in a deepening trough. A jarring impact cause my front n/s tyre to burst - I can only hope that no structural damage wil come to light. Like-for-like tyre replacement cost me £144. I should like to claim compensation for this, and suggest that the road should be clearly marked with warning signs and repaired as a matter of urgency.
