I live in Gedney Hill and every road in and out of my village is cracked and subsiding!
Reported in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 17:35, Tue 15 January 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 345156.
Station Road, West drove, North Road and Lutton Gate all have massive cracks in the road surface which are causing damage to vehicles and are a massive danger to motorcyclist and moped riders. The road has also once again cracked down Hulls Drove as well on the way to the A16 which is causing massive damage to vehicles regularly. These road all appear to be breaking up and falling away or subsiding into the verges causing the massive cracks to appear, and I for one am fed up with paying out for repairs to vehicles for suspension, ball joints and tyres to be replaced due to crappy road surfaces that have to be driven on daily as there is no way around them. When a vehicle is coming towards you there is no way to avoid the cracks unless you pull over off the road and I have seen several motor bike and moped riders being jerked across the road by these massive cracks. filling them full of loose chippings and patches does not work!!! this quick fix is useless and the roads are back to square one within days of being 'patched up'. When are the councils going to do something about the state of these roads or will it take the death of a motorcyclist being thrown into the path of another vehicle, to get them repaired properly!! These roads have been subsiding and damaged for so long I cant remember a time when they weren't.
