Sub surface broken
Reported in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 10:33, Mon 21 January 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 345447.
I’ve phoned before about the lorry’s shaking house due to there being a fault with the sub surface of the road, it’s now ratterling shelves in our home, you sent an email with some surface list on it and 1 I couldn’t find our road 2 the surface is not the problem. The road has large sections that move when lorries and now vans drive over them causing our house to rattle, this problem started after the tidle surge a few years ago, it now is waking us up as the 4 am lorries leave the docks, the lorry traffic now is much worse this morning 40 lorries have passed by 10:40. Please can we look into this as light fittings are ratterling and the raidiator in the bed room the plastic supports have broken from the vibration and now nearly every lorry that goes past its sounds like someone is knocking our letter box. We never had this problem when we bought the house 10 years ago something has changed and is getting worse. Many thanks Tony

Hello it’s Mr Hodges again to up date you the email you sent about repairs doesn’t appear to show West Bank for resurfacing. Now cars shake the house and I can feel lorries approaching the house from where the road meets Lime Street and from out side the granary block of flats, lorries now cause glasses to shake in my kitchen cupboard, I’m being woken at 4 am when lorries leave there yard at the docks, the road vibrates very badly when lorries are on there side of the road but some go pass and you wouldn’t know. There is something wrong with the substructure and I would like you to monitor the house with A seismometer to show you the extent of the vibrations. This is getting worse.
