  • This repair has not been fixed as reported by the local highway authority on the 20th March 2019.

There remains significant surface water ponding on Broadgate Lane and its footpath. To highlighted again, this issue continues to prevent the use of the footpath causing pedestrians to use grass verge and to enter private driveway to avoid being soaked by passing vehicles and/or forced to cross the road at a junction.

This is a route to the local primary school.

Please see attached photos taken on the now 8th May 2019.

  • Eight months on now and this problem remains. Due to reoccurring ponding on the public footpath and Broadgate Lane this has caused pot holes to development in the footpath and will only get worse until the carriageway/drainage is repaired. Pedestrians are unable to use the footpath when ponding occurs and are forced to cross Broadgate Lane near to its junction with the B1525. Broadgate Lane is a walking route to the Deeping St James County Primary School - an obvious road safety issue.
