Approximate 24 inch sunken hole, depth 3inch in places

Reported in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 17:12, Fri 15 February 2019

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 347163.

A sunken hole on pavement adjacent to a give way sign causing dangerous problems in my wheelchair, the approximate 2 to 3 inch hole I causing my powered wheelchair to loose contact with the path and swinging my chair dangerously towards the road, it is difficult to avoid because of the sign and the fact the hole is taking up 50% of the pavement. last week it swung me towards the road and then because I didn't have all my wheels in contact with the pavement I became stuck and had to flag a motorist down who stopped and pulled me back out of the hole. I rely on this way to my place of work, the whole of the pavement on Harlaxton road from the Fire station to swingbridge road/A1 south turn off is very uneven and full of smaller potholes but the one sunken hole is very scary. could this please be fixed a soon as possible before a accident from wheelchair users or trip hazard. Many thanks. kind regards

  • This is ridiculous, is this Lincolnshire or not, you have pushed the responsibility back to a disabled person I am not reporting this just for a joke. Do you or not know who is responsible? Sending me a link to try and guess who the third party is. At least give me a clue or forward the problem to the third party surely you know better than we do! Thanks for your help.

  • As you have not responded to my last correspondence, I have done further investigation. And after checking postcodes, I wrote to SKDC and please see below their reply. 'Dear Mr Colin

On further investigation and looking at the photos provided, it is concluded that this would be under the authority of Lincolnshire County Council, as it is a problem you have with the pathway. Please get this fixed before I die!
