Large pothole on edge of narrow road which makes it difficult to avoid with a car and lorries have no option other than to drive over increasing the size of pothole
Reported in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 09:38, Sun 17 February 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 42 minutes later. Council ref: 347217.
The edge of the highway in front of number 53 Electric Station Road is breaking away. The road is used as a free parking area for Sleaford town centre users reducing the useable road width. Refuse vehicles have no option other than to drive over the grass verge of number 53 to pass parked vehicles. A large rut has formed and a significant pothole measuring in excess of 75mm deep in places has been created. Both the rut in front of 53 and the pothole require full construction with dense bitumen macadam. The problem has been created over the last few months and worsened by the recent freezing conditions.
