Uneven ‘joint’ on A158
Reported in the Road surface issue category by Ian Fleetwood at 14:55, Wed 20 March 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 349048.
Residents have alerted me to a ‘joint’ in the road surface that is noisy. Empty lorries rattle when they go over it and full lorries cause a vibration felt on the kerbside and also wake residents up in the early hours of the morning
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our response times for fault reports which is available at https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ highways-faults

(14/05/2019) Further to Councillor Fleetwood's comments above, we as the residents of the affected property would like to inform you that these vibrations occur at all times of the day and night and cause the structure of our property, to vibrate like a mini earthquake. In fact, we have experienced registered earthquakes that have caused less vibration than this road joint. We believe this is detrimental to our house, and is causing lack of sleep. This issue was first reported on January 7th 2019. We still await some official communication and an official site visit from the LCC Highways Department to discuss a resolution to this problem.
