Cycle path on Greetwell Road faded or tarmacked over
Reported in the Road markings faded/missing category anonymously at 12:00, Mon 15 April 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 350181.
As shown in the photo provided, the cycle path line (that's the white line visible to the left of the double yellow lines) on the main road stops abruptly along Greetwell Road (that's Greetwell Road in Lincoln, also known as the B1308). The white line is solid and clear from the junction of Greetwell Road and Wragby Road (that's Wragby Road in Lincoln, also known as the A15) at the Peacock Inn, but is faded or tarmacked over from approximately 3 Greetwell Road to the junction with St Anne's Road (next to Lincoln County hospital). In some places the white line appears faded, in other places it has been obscured by the road surface. The distance affected is approximately 0.2 miles. The map pinpoints the location where the cycle path white line stops. The postcode is LN2 4AX. This problem has been there for at least 6 months.
The situation is dangerous for cyclists and frustrating for drivers as they do not perceive there is enough space to overtake without the line.
