Collapsed edgings, deep potholes, mud, missing kerbs around parking layby outside old people's bungalows in Main St., Horsington
Reported in the Damaged road edge, encroaches more than 100mm category anonymously at 09:05, Fri 26 April 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 350528.
Degraded or non-existent surface, missing kerb stones, no hard surface in parking layby opposite All Saints Church, Horsington, outside old people's bungalows, close to post box. This area is so degraded that residents (mostly elderly) cannot get out of cars as they are surrounded by mud and water in inclement weather or long after rainfall. Result is people park in dangerous places on B1190 around this point (so they can get out of vehicles without standing in water or slipping in the accumulated mud), causing obstructions, dangers to motorists, cyclists and other road users. Problem may be exacerbated by blocked drains, but the real problem is the loss of or collapse of the kerb, the tarmacked surface between the kerb and the roadway and the complete neglect or management of the facility. It ought to be fixed before it causes an accident and so that cars can be parked safely and legally.
