Several large and deep potholes near Thurlby,on the A15...further details below.
Reported in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 19:22, Tue 28 May 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 13 minutes later. Council ref: 351490.
This is one of several large potholes on the A15,just as you leave Thurlby, heading towards Kate’s Bridge. There is also another large pothole, just before you enter Thurlby, travelling in the same direction.
They are on the nearside of the carriageway...and have been there several months...but have got much larger in the past couple of weeks.
It is difficult to avoid these potholes, even when you know they are there and they are impossible to avoid at night. I have just replaced the two front tyres of my car...the wheel alignment was way out, probably largely due to hitting potholes. I would appreciate these particular potholes being filled assp. Kind regards.

It is difficult to take pictures of these potholes because there is no footpath and it is always too busy a road to stop.
I would definitely say that these potholes are deeper then a golf ball.
As stated previously, they are on the A15 just before you enter Thurlby and just as you exit Thurlby...in the direction of Kate’s Bridge.
I am surprised that there haven’t been other reports about these as they are difficult to safely avoid.
Many thanks.

Having seen that this report was closed,NFA,earlier today,I was amazed and rang Highways.
I was advised re notes that a manager had added to my report, but I couldn’t access these...and was only aware of them because I rang in.
To be advised that a manager couldn’t identify the potholes on last inspection,a few weeks ago,is amazing.
I advised that in my opinion they were far deeper than the size of a golf ball...which indicated they would be repaired within 24 hours.
The lady I spoke to was very helpful and understanding and assured me that my comments would be passed to the manager.
I hope these potholes get repaired in the very near future...and I look forward to being advised accordingly.

I see my report has been closed again...even though the potholes would appear to fall within the criteria for a repair within 24 hours, this is obviously not going to happen.
Whilst I was initially impressed with the pothole reporting procedure,I am now very unhappy as to how this matter has been /has not been resolved.
I will be taking pictures of the potholes if safety allows...and will aim to use these in any future compensation claim re damage to tyres and wheels...damage that could have been avoided.
