Fire engine on site for last 2 hours and they are doing their best to try and clear the water, but as there is so much right down into wentworth close and in front of houses no. 5 - 15 in st andrews road, we still need the Anglian large vehicle that can pump down into the main drain in the middle of the road, which has been done on previous occasions. The flooding is particularly bad this time.

Our road is severely flooded, St Andrews Road/Wentworth Close PE11 2SH. It looks like we live overlooking a lake. Tonight we have discovered that out toilet is not flushing and the outside drain is also blocked. This is due to Anglian Water/Highways refusing to unblock the drains in the street. We are not the only people in this position here. But because we reside at No.9 St Andrews right opposite Wentworth Close we get the problem first. I do not know if anybody bothers to read these updates but if you do, can you please organise our drains to be unblocked, we cannot stay like this permanently. I really just do not know what is going to happen here. Sent by Susan Chapman at 9.45p.m June 13th.
