  • Highways/Alliance Partners work in St Andrews Road Spalding. A team spent many hours on 11th July clearing and busting the drains, but unfortunately on Friday night 12th July, after approx 4 minutes of heavy rain the road was extremely flooded again. Thankfully the rain only lasted about 1 hour otherwise we would have been in the same position as we were back in June, when this part of St Andrews Road across into Wentworth Close was completely flooded, with water lapping at our front door. My original notification No, back in June was 412530. I do not think the problem has been solved and dread the next bout of heavy rain. There is something wrong with the drains that they seem unable to cope with only one heavy shower of rain. I think something more needs to be done so that some of the residents in St Andrews Road/Wentworth Close do not get flooded. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this matter.

Kind regards Susan Chapman - 9 St Andrews Road Spalding PE11 2SH
