Road way being pushed towards house
Reported in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 07:39, Sun 30 June 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 3 hours, 6 minutes later. Council ref: 352958.
Some 5 years ago the road way in Church Lane, Huttoft was dug up and a plastic pipe put into the ground for electric cables. The roadway outside 17 Church Lane has now started to sink and the the ground is being pushed towards our road side cottage. This is due to heavy traffic on Church Lane, especially double decker buses which go to Huttoft school. They have to drive close to the cottage due to the narrowness of the road. This is now causing the roadway to be pushed into a ridge in front of the cottage and appears to be getting closer. The ground under the tarmac is obviously moving where the trench was dug. This is becoming a worry as eventually it is going to push this into the cottage. This is going to cause problem to the old foundations as this cottage is probably well over 150yrs old. Could this be sorted.
