Very bad holes in road and wear and tear
Reported in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 08:53, Mon 8 July 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 353223.
The road that runs through Kirmond Le Mire is in dire condition. There are many parts of the road where you have to swerve to miss the big holes in the road such as beside the grass verge or sometimes on the other side of the road. The speed limit is 40 but I personally cannot drive that speed due to the condition of the road due to wear and tear. The steering wheel is always jerking when I drive on this road and it pulls your car. On the parts of this road that do not have huge holes the condition of the road is so bad probably from general use of the road. This road is used by many to get out of Binbrook and Brookenby to get to Market Rasen. I use this road twice a day to get to work and always worry about the damage it may end up doing to my car long term. This road is not safe at all especially for those who do not know where to expect all the faults in this road. Going to the hill on the Kirmond road is especially bad there is a large pothole at the bottom which has normally been filled with rain so not always detectable unless you know it is there and in some cases you can’t avoid going through it if there is another car coming on the other side of the road. This is especially the same on going up the hill and is an accident waiting to happen due to the amount of potholes. It is The main road As you first come into Kirmond Village B1203 and the whole road that runs through it to Kirmond Road Leading to binbrook that is particularly bad. These photos I have provided are only parts of the road where I feel is the worst but I am happy to provide more photos as there are other parts that are very bad.

The fault outlined on this road has still not been resolved and as said above, the road is extremely uneven and shakes the car due to the state of disrepair the road is currently in and I too worry about the damage it will do to my car as sometimes it cannot be avoided.

This road is becoming worse as the weather is getting wetter and colder - farm vehicles and lorries are making the holes in the road worse to the point practically the whole road through Kirmond, from the church down to the bridge (where there is a very deep pothole, already reported), is becoming a dangerous to drive without the potential for damaging suspension and alloys. How these reports have been "closed" without any work taking place since when they were reported in July (now October) is beyond me!
