Overgrown hedge that is now infringing on footpath and contains sharp thorns at eye level

Reported in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 16:56, Mon 22 July 2019

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 353738.

I write with concern over an overgrown hedge on Canwick Avenue that is now infringing on the footpath causing a health and safety issue. More worrying is that this includes a rose bush that has sharp thorns which have the potential of causing injury, particularly as they are at eye level. The said hedge, which is located between numbers 50 and 48 Canwick Avenue has not been cut for the past 2 years, hence the problem identified. If the hedge is the responsibility of the local authority, it is requested that you arrange for it to be cut as a matter of priority. If, however, it is the responsibility of the adjoining house (which is actually located on Salisbury Drive - the boundary of the house is against Canwick Avenue), I would be grateful if you would instruct the home owner to discharge their responsibility and prune the hedge soonest.
