Non maintenance of footways & highway maintainable vehicular access'
Reported in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 19:52, Mon 5 August 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 354206.
The whole footway system through Skendleby has become dangerous, uneven & slippery. Previous remedies with slurry seal & the like are failing & need urgent action. Apart from this vehicle access' that were constructed to highways spec as required under the 1980 Highways & previous acts have received no maintenance so that some now have lost all traces of tarmac & are just stone, others have potholes & loss of surface depth. You were quick to tell people of their responsibilities under the Highways Act but appear very tardy in complying with yours. An update of when this work will be done would be appreciated.

Unfortunately although very pleased with the work carried out several areas have been missed so to say that all the necessary work has been completed is not correct. Most of the outstanding work relates to vehicular access' which still have potholes in them & at least one is now eroding away due to the tarmac surface having been worn away with no maintenance from LCC in years. If it would help I would be happy to accompany your highway officer to show him the problem areas.
