Pavement narrowing by vegetation growing through it.
Reported in the Obstruction on pavement/verge category anonymously at 17:06, Tue 6 August 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 354242.
As per the previous report at this location. Vegetation is growing through the footpath, narrowing it significantly, and causing pedestrians to walk, very close to the road (60mph limit), next to a sharp bend. The chevron boards, appear to not meet current standards (?), and are becoming obscured by ivy. Finally, the carriageway edge markings and kerb, are obscured by debris and vegetation.

Can the Council, please explain, why, for the second time, this report has been closed “no further action”? The surface of the footpath is broken up, by vegetation growing through it, it is uneven, and trip/falls risk. Pedestrians are forced to walk close to the fast road, on a sharp bend. Roadside furniture, and carriageway markings are obscured. Given this, is a public site, I do not feel it appropriate for the Council not to give transparent reasoning, why, they have chosen not to undertake remedial work. Has the site been visited, if so, when, and by whom. Should an injury, or collision occur, information documented, on this site, may become relevant. Please update accordingly. Thank you.

Still no action taken. The problem is only worsening, and the risk to both pedestrians and motorists increasing. Again, a request for an update as to either why no action is being taken, or when the matter will be dealt with? Thank you.
