Dear Richard Fenwick,
Thank you for passing the immediate flooding issue to the emergency team, much appreciated. This is also a is a long-standing flood area on Royal Oak Lane, Aubourn. The Chairman of the Parish Council is very concerned for the safety of residents and car drivers. It is also causing damage to property as lorries maintain their speed through the village spewing dirty water into people’s properties.
Today is a repeat of previously reported flooding, with no apparent action to date. Local people point out that the drainage pipe must be blocked as water starts to get away, then fills and floods the road. This happens with every heavy rain. The drain must need clearing, and it could be some way down.
I have also put it on Fix my street to help you find the record.
Many thanks,
Marianne
