Investigating
Water damage to road surface.
Reported in the Problem at other roadworks category anonymously at 17:22, Sat 31 August 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 355143.
For years (Visible in Google Street View in 2009) Anglian Water have claimed the water running down this road is from a spring. Even during months of drought this road has had water running down it. Over the years getting worse. There has been numerous road repairs, drainage upgrades and later modifications, accident due to ice, potential prosecutions of landowners for ejecting water onto the highway. The road even had water running out of cracks as far down the road as Kenilworth Road indicating a problem in the road foundation (Visible on 2018 Google Streets). Anglian Water have spent the last few weeks upgrading the reservoir at the top of this hill including extensive works in the road. As a result this spring has miraculously disappeared. I believe some sort of compensation is owed to LCC especially as now the source of the leak has been identified and fixed to foundations of the road and subsoil in the area are going to start drying out and potentially cause more damage to the road.

OK so a non A or Motorway main road within the county of Lincolnshire is not your responsibility to maintain? Of course it is, according to the webpage you link to it is anyway. So you have not wasted tax payers money then trying to repair the road and install drainage due to a reported spring running down the road which appears to of actually been a long term leak from Anglian Water despite them assuring the community it was not from their reservoir and pipework? This road is your responsibility however the damage done to it over ten years is Anglian Waters responsibility? You seriously have no intention of recovering the wasted tax payers money you spent trying to keep up with the repairs due to this leak from them?
