Position of traffic light causing confusion and dangerous
Reported in the Signal head turned around category anonymously at 09:38, Tue 17 September 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 355756.
When approaching from town centre and turning left towards Somerby hill, the light for straight on, up London Road is positioned so that it is highly visible to those in the queue waiting to turn left. When turning green it is very easy to confuse the instruction and people think they are okay to turn left when in fact their light is still red. I have witnessed several people move off when this light changes and both myself and my partner have done the same. If the light were just turned slightly, it would not be so confusing.
