The grass verge from Red House Farm to the Village Hall on Side Street, Allington has been worn away by cars parking. It is easy to see where the verge was originally as the tarmac finishes there. Outside Red House Farm, there is a long, wide and deep pothole which fills with water after rain.

Reported in the Collapsed verge category anonymously at 13:13, Sat 28 September 2019

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 356203.

This is getting worse each year. Vehicles are now regularly parking on the manhole cover which was originally part of the verge. It all needs reinstating and kerbing to make it safe.

  • Only the fault outside Red House Farm has been addressed. There is still a large defect outside Northside Cottage currently filled with water and with a warning cone in it to alert motorists that it is there. The manhole cover, previously enclosed by the now missing grass verge is still vulnerable to being parked on.As reported, the whole area between Red House Farm and Allington Village Hall needs attention - preferably kerbing and the verge reinstating.
