Blocked gullies South side Hanby Lane
Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 15:05, Wed 11 December 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 361111.
Hanby Lane in Welton le Marsh has several rainwater gulleys on the South of it, through the village. Many of these are blocked with mud and grit leading to a stream of muddy water down the road with cars drenching pedestrians and properties. Also risk of aquaplaning vehicles. At the low bit adjacent to Beck Farm and Iringa, on the bend, floodwater builds up as it used to do, because of the overload of water trying to get into the recently installed gulley to the Beck. HELP please.

How can this be closed?? Nothing has been done and the gulleys are still blocked - from before (West of) Mill Lane junction going East to the previous Post Office where the Beck goes under the road. Heavy rain forecast this weekend could lead to serious flooding that we shall hold you responsible for. All gulleys are on the South kerb of the road.

Just received an email update stating "situation unchanged no further action". Can you confirm this is the case as the drains are still blocked and I need a definitive reply for my files. John Nutton

Half of the road (Hanby Lane) on the south side was a running river of brown water this morning. It was coming from the field on the north side of the road behind the village hall (old school) as you travel towards Gunby going uphill towards Redlands Holt on the B1196.
