No markings at all

Reported in the Road markings faded/missing category anonymously at 07:51, Tue 17 December 2019

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 361469.

In all the time that I have been driving, there have never been any white lines on this toad and it has not necessarily been an issue but now it is a major one. The increasing size of farm vehicles using this road is leading to the grass verge being churned up where the road is not wide enough for 2 vehicles to meet. This is making it increasing difficult to actually see where the edge of the road is when it is dark or foggy. A simple white line painted onto the road edge would easily alleviate this issue.

  • I stopped on the way home tonight along this stretch of road so that you can hopefully see exactly what it is like for a driver. This is with full beam headlights on- hopefully you can imagine how much worse this is with dipped headlights or when meeting another vehicle. It is impossible to know where the edge of the road actually is.

  • I would, once again, ask, have you actually been out to see this fault? It was only reported yesterday but you are already saying that it has been assessed and no work is needed. Not sure how you can say this without actually seeing it- it is a serious accident waiting to happen.

    State changed to: Open
