Investigating
Storm drain between 201 and 203 Eastfield Rd block
Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 22:25, Wed 18 December 2019
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 361670.
Noticed water standing over the gulley the other day. Gradually drained away overnight. Heavy rain again tonight has caused the same problem again. Passing car went through water and drenched my wife who was on the driveway unloading boot. Presume it is blocked with leaves or other debris. Other gulleys closeby seem unaffected. Gullet between 201 and 203 Eastfield Road Louth.

This drain has been affected since Morland did some work at this site. There was not a problem before this. Either the drain is blocked or broken. Consequently the rainwater is reaching the crown of the road . Vehicles are driving through and the muddy water is splashing over our boundary wall and all over the front windows. We and other pedestrians are also getting soaked. When is it going to be fixed please? This was initially reported in December last year and still there has been no resolution.

Today 24th Feb, I have rechecked the drain as road is still flooded up to the crown of the road. The drain itself is full to the top with water, consequently the rain water has nowhere to go. Please advise when this will be repaired. As stated previously, this problem has only arisen since Morland Utilities carried out work here, so there must be either a blockage or a fracture.

To echo the last update, this matter needs urgent attention. I keep phoning Highways for updates but nobody rings me back. I have been out in the heavy rain sweeping the water down to the next storm drain to help prevent it running down my driveway. I have included 3 pictures - this is happening several times a week. Please update re the current position re repairs. Many Thanks.

The jet cleaner has been out today and cleared the drain so thankyou and let us hope that has resolved the situation. I spoke with the operative and the said drain had been full of silt.
