2 handrails missing from side of steep pathway
Reported in the Damaged/missing pedestrian guardrail category anonymously at 16:58, Sat 4 January 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 362994.
Two of the handrails are either broken or removed from the edge of the steep pathway between Higson Rd steps and top of Berilldon Drive. In times of snow and ice these are an essential necessity as a means of getting up or down the pathway without slipping. The affected ones are about two thirds the way up the hill

Jon Davies, Long Leys Residents Association (LLRA). The handrails have been established as the responsibility of the Highways team. A similar repair was carried out by their contractor between June-Sept 2018.

LLRA are advised by the Programme Leader Minor Works & Traffic at Lincolnshire County Council that the Higson Steps "form part of the public highway as a link footway."
