The crossing control panels don't seem to work
Reported in the Timing issue category anonymously at 09:38, Mon 20 January 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 364688.
The pedestrian crossing control panels don't seem to be connected to the traffic signals. you can press the buttons on the panels and still be stood there 2-3 minutes later waiting for the lights to change to red. pedestrians are getting impatient waiting and take chances crossing in between moving vehicles.
Sometimes when you press the button on the panel it lights up, you wait for a couple of minutes for the lights to change to red, but alas the red light around the button on the panel goes out as though they were only lit up originally for cosmetic reassurance.
Ther timing issue and the fact that the buttons seem to de-activate while you are waiting to cross needs looking at as a matter of public safety and urgency.
