Edge of road has crumbled away

Reported in the Damaged road edge, encroaches more than 100mm category anonymously at 11:37, Mon 10 February 2020

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 366504.

Edge of the road on the westbound side of the carriage way has crumbled away in several places leaving large pot holes and ruts which fill with water when raining which masks the depth of the holes which is causing an issue for drivers who are unaware it's not just puddles. Extremely dangerous for motorcyclists and pedal cyclists and damaging to motor vehicles

  • No fix has taken place. This loose tarmac has been tipped into a random rut about 100 metres from where I reported the main issues to be. None of the collapsed edges where I reported the issue have been filled at all. Contractors appear to have simply tipped some loose tarmac as they drove by into a random hole. AS you can see from the image, it's just tipped in loose, not even level with the road surface and not tamped down in any way - and not where the main issue was reported

  • The road repair vehicles are currently fixing a fault 1/4 mile from the issue I reported on the 10th of February. This is not fixing the fault in the location I repeorted

  • Still no fix for the location I reported, but 200 metres along the road that I didn’t report has been “fixed” twice, with an “update” emailed to me while they were fixing that other location that my report had been fixed. Not sure how they keep not seeing the location or the issue. Have resorted to trying to fill in some of the worst ruts and holes myself with the loose tarmac that was literally dumped on the grass verge on the “fix” before last (photos of the tarmac dump were provided)
