The edge of the new road surface is extremely dangerous.
Reported in the Damaged road edge, encroaches more than 100mm category anonymously at 19:51, Wed 19 February 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 367406.
The excellent resurfacing work along this 600m stretch of Roman Bank is now far more dangerous than it was before the roadworks because the edge of the new tarmac drops off from between 150mm - 450mm in places onto what was the original verge. Whilst they did fill this with soft soil this has been washed away or flattened by tractors already, making it almost impossible to pass a large oncoming vehicle without dropping 150 - 400mm off the road. This sort of drop could do serious damage to a car and at night it is impossible to gauge how severe the drop is. And it could be lethal for a cyclist.
