West street island
Reported via iOS in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 09:05, Thu 20 February 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 367436.
The block paving on the island is lethal. It is uneven and it is green and slippery. It is an accident waiting to happen. I have tripped. I have seen people fall over and a young lad fell off his bike on the way to school. Some locals have also taken to parking cars on the island as well - they appear to drive in over the lowered kerb for the pedestrian crossing if tyrevtracks are to be believed - and this restricts access and has caused a mobility scooter to have an issue as the driver could only go over the uneven stones to get to an exit point. He was almost tipped off. Can someone please pick this issue up and deal with it sensibly before there is a serious accident. It’s near a school and a main road. Failure to act will leave the council open to huge claims for negligence. Especially as I see it’s been reported before but you have chosen to take no action. In summary two main issues here for you: Uneven block paving Ridiculous parking by locals
