Large section of road sinking next to manhole
Reported via iOS in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 10:52, Thu 27 February 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 368247.
Previously repaired part has stayed level but the section of road immediately north of it is steadily sinking, there’s a very noticeable depression there now and ground strikes where lower vehicles have grounded out.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. We are dealing with many locations where there appears to be an issue with the ground conditions beneath the road causing subsidence at the surface and we think this is another site like that. Due to the significant resources required to deal with them properly, there has to be a significant safety problem before we can justify dealing with it. We note your additional comments however no action is proposed at this current time. We will continue to monitor this site through inspections and erect warning signs if it becomes necessary. Thank you for reporting this matter.
