Potholes, cracks and an uneven road surface stretching all the way across the road opposite the driveway of 74 West Elloe avenue.
Reported in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 11:14, Mon 9 March 2020
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 369342.
These potholes, cracks and uneven road surface is the result of previous works being poorly repaired. Anything bigger than a car hitting this stretch of road in either direction causes properties in the area to shake. Speeding HGV`s are a particular problem along this road and have significantly aided in the rapid worsening of the state of the road over the last couple of months.

As a resident in the immediate vicinity of this reported problem I agree with everything the reportee says. The problem of vehicle vibration has been getting progressively worse over the time (20 years) I have lived here. Damaged road surface is exacerbating the issue. I have now become accustomed to the constant shuddering of my property every time a large vehicle passes... how long before property damage is caused I dread to think. If it does LCC can prepare for significant claims from local residents.

This problem is worsening, the pothole is getting bigger/deeper as are the cracks right across the road. The vibration caused by vehicles is now causing needless damage to properties along this stretch of road. As an A road into Spalding how can this not require urgent action even if its just a temporary measure.

I have to concur with the anonymous poster today and with the original poster of this complaint. To reject the complaint "in accordance with ... Asset Management Plan" is a cop out of major proportions. The road surface is seriously damaged and will only continue to worsen over time unless something is done to remedy it. The Covid-19 situation has reduced the amount of daily traffic on this A road which means any worsening will be slower. However a right thinking Council would seize the opportunity to schedule remedial work so that it can be performed once the Country is out of lockdown but before the weight of traffic increases again. Failure to do so will inevitably result in a najor through route to require more significant repair in the not too distant future and as has been indicated even more damage to resident's properties tan that currently experienced.
