This relates to claim I wish to make for an injury. I have reported numerous times the horrific state of the footpath (if you can call it that) which I walk down to work everyday and back. It is full of potholes but not just that it is very uneven and in some parts there is no kerb at all. It is a single track road which lorries, bin lorries, cars and pedestrians use a lot. No care is given to look after us as pedestrians and we risk our lives walking down there every days especially as cars drive fast and big lorries and trucks go past. A little bit of work was eventually done but only in a small area and even that was horrendously done, it look like someone just dumped some tarmac in the hole and walked away, it wasn't left level and in some cases has made it worse. I have now tripped whilst on my way to work and I was so lucky as no cars were coming at the time or else I could have easily been killed or knocked over or the car would have had to do an emergency stop and maybe killed someone else. I cut my leg and it bruised too, I have a picture. I cant' take this anymore. I don't have a car and have to walk that way to work, i have no alternative. Please tell me how I can escalate this so the path can just be retarmaced, it would make sense to do this instead of filling in a few holes here and there which are not resolving the issue. Lots of pedestrians use this path to get to Witham Park Industrial estate where Anglian Water is (I work there), Lincs FM and various other buildings down there. More housing is going up and more people living down that way means more traffic, please help us pedestrians, we can't risk our lives anymore.
