Damaged road edge, encroaches less than 100mm problem
Reported via Open311 in the Damaged road edge, encroaches less than 100mm category by Customer Services at 13:39, Tue 7 April 2020
Council ref: 290012.
Single track road - main thoroughfare into the village.
2 (a) On the eastern side of the road, the edge is significantly damaged. There are several long hazardous stretches up to a metre wide, 11 metres in length and up to 280 millimetres in depth. The hazards are difficult to see because of mud and stones. Residents complain of tyre and suspension damage.
2 (b) On the western side of the carriageway, there has been for at least 12 months, a large deep hole. This is surrounded by yellow hazard fencing.
The hole is thought to have been caused by badgers tunnelling underneath the road at this point so it's recognised that this will be particularly difficult to resolve.
