No street lights of any kind down this long country road

Reported in the Street light category anonymously at 13:37, Thu 16 April 2020

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 370606.

Hi I am concerned that there are no street lights down this road. I took my dog on a long walk down this way the other day and it was late at night and it was pitch black the whole way down this road. As you leave Barrowby from Low Road heading towards Dysart Road there is no lighting whatsoever apart from people's homes way in the distant. It is a long country type road connecting Grantham to the village but it's not nice walking a long distance in complete darkness late at night with lots of open fields and hedgerow. Just as a bit of customer feedback and an observation I think we could really do with some lighting down this road. Thanks.

  • Can I suggest the use of a torch? They are really handy on dark roads and footpaths. In addition they are for more environmentally friendly than permanent lighting to an entire road between the village of Barrowby and the town of Grantham. It may nto be a long stretch but they are two entirely separate settlements and do not require lighting in between.
